Abbey Lemons1. Where do you work?
I am a store planner for Save-A-Lot. I have been here for about two and a half years.

2. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
I have only been here about two and half years. I lived in Springfield, Missouri, before moving here, and before that I was in Columbia.

3. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
I got involved with GenNext about a year ago. I was looking for opportunities to get involved and meet people. Anna Gettemeier told me about GenNext and I liked it because of the variety of all the volunteer opportunities.

10 questions with Lauren Stacye

1. Where do you work?
I work at TRC. It’s a staffing and placement firm. I am the recruitment manager. I’ve been here for a little under a year.

2. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
I’ve lived in St. Louis all my life. I went away to college, but I only went to Mizzou so I didn’t go far.

3. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
I got involved earlier this year, around January or February. A friend of mind from college has been involved with GenNext and he was telling me about all the opportunities they offer. I was finally at a good place in my career where I could devote some time to giving back so I decided GenNext would be perfect.

4. What’s been your favorite GenNext activity or memory?
Definitely St. Louis Serves Day. I was at a school in St. Louis painting. It was really eye-opening for me when I talked to some of the employees. Their whole job was centered on philanthropy. It actually made me feel a little self-centered. It made me want to devote more of my time to helping people. Click to learn more

5 GenNexters Under 30

Several GenNext members were selected to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 30 Under 30 class of 2010. Congratulations to Alicia Busse, Jon Franko, Raegan Johnson, Britni Nguyen and Adam Prest.

The award recognizes achievements by individuals under 30 who have achieved success beyond their years. The list includes entrepreneurs, young executives on the fast track and community leaders. Winners were chosen on their contributions to their industry as well as their work with local community organizations. GenNext volunteers and leaders consistently show up on the list year after year. Pradeep1. Where do you work?
I work at AT&T as a senior project manager. I have worked here for about five years.

2. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
I have only lived in St. Louis for about five years. I grew up in India then I moved to Nebraska to finish my master’s.

3. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
I have been involved with GenNext for about seven months. I was searching for volunteer opportunities online and came across the GenNext website. I signed up for my first service project and have been involved ever since.

4. What’s been your favorite GenNext activity or memory?
My first service project was by far the most memorable. It was a cold January morning and we were at a Christmas tree lot. We had to use this huge machine that was difficult to operate. It was hard work, but it was a lot of fun. Click to learn more

1. Where do you work?
I work at Professional Employment Group as a recruiter.

2. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
I have lived in St. Louis my whole life. The only time I was away was when I was in school in Columbia.

3. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
I got involved with GenNext about a year and a half ago. I was actually googling different charities and volunteer groups. I ended up on United Way’s website, and found GenNext. I signed up for my first service project and have been hooked ever since.

4. What’s been your favorite GenNext activity or memory?
The April 24 Day of Service was the most memorable. We painted at a church. It was the first time that some of my friends joined me on a service project, so it was a lot of fun. Click to learn more
