10 questions with Rose Johnson
1. Where do you work?
I am a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network. I have been here since May 2007.
2. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
I am a native of St. Louis. I have lived here my whole life. I got my undergrad and graduate degrees from St. Louis University.
3. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
One of my co-workers, Nikki Crawford, is on the GenNext steering committee. She encouraged me to get involved. She talked about how it had impacted her life, and I had been looking for a way to give back. That was probably in December of 2007.
4. What’s been your favorite GenNext activity or memory?
That would probably have to be when we did the service project at Women’s Safe House in November of 2008. It was staggering to see the statistics of domestic violence. When we got to interact with the children of some of these women, it was just awesome to be a part of. Click to learn more
Along with some other friends, I am attempting to give up anything that would be considered a sweet. If one of us eats a sweet, we’ll have to attempt the Crown Candy Kitchen 5-malt challenge. If anyone has seen Man vs. Food, it takes someone not from this world to finish that challenge.
My New Year’s resolution is actually my life resolution: to expect greatness in my life.
In 2010, I resolve to be more empathetic, energetic and enthusiastic!
