10 questions with Kyle Walker

Kyle Walker1. Where do you work?
I work at Edward Jones. The best part is being able to work with different departments to update purchase processes.

2. Where did you go to school?
Washington University for business.

3. How long have you lived in St. Louis?
10 years. I came to attend school here at Washington University and then found a job in the city.

4. How and when did you get involved with GenNext?
March of this year. They came to Edward Jones to talk about GenNext.

5. What’s been your favorite GenNext activity or memory?
Working at the St. Louis Food Bank. It was amazing to see how much food we were able to get packaged down into smaller boxes.

6. Why are volunteerism and philanthropy important to your generation?
It’s important that we give back to our community because it really is our community. There’s no “you versus they;” it’s just us. I believe we have an obligation to make our community the best it can be.

7. Where you would like to see GenNext in five years?
I would like to just see it continue growing and have an even bigger impact on the community.

8. Are you a morning person or a night person?
Neither! I’m an afternoon person. Noon to six.

9. What is the city or country you’d most like to visit? And Why?
I would say Greece, to see all of the old artifacts.

10. You have $20 to your name. How do you spend it?
Lunch at a sushi restaurant.
