GenNext partners with Urban League for Young Blacks Give Back event

For the third year in a row, GenNext will participate in the Urban League’s Young Blacks Give Back event. YBGB is a month-long initiative where Urban League Young Professionals do community service projects at more than 20 area nonprofits.

Volunteers will serve at places such as Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club, Ranken Jordan, American Red Cross and Youth In Need.

Members of the Urban League Young Professionals have invited other YP groups to participate in the efforts. GenNext is happy to offer its members a chance to participate in several of these projects. Last year more than 25 GenNext members helped at various projects.

The YBGB initiative was started six years ago and has encouraged hundreds of young professionals to volunteer in the St. Louis community, facilitating thousands of hours of volunteer service to our region.

The Urban League is a United Way agency and has been in St. Louis for 90 years. The St. Louis Urban League affiliate is ranked No. 1 nationally out of 105 national offices.
